The Elsewalker is an art project I began in February of 2020. Each painting tells a story, and each painting tells another story when viewed in context. Also, each painting can be followed to the next painting in the series if you follow the most interesting thing in the scene.

The sound of something sludgy trickling down stone. The odor of copper and incense. A boat groans as it rubs against its mooring. Above, you can hear the clarion tones of the terrestrial spheres as they hang in resolute monumentality, eternal witness to the passing of souls. The watcher beckons, guardian of this gate to forever.
> Do you know what you are looking for?
For the first time in my most recent foray into digital art, I settled on a limited set of brushes and focused on composition and technique. It was in many ways inexact, but I was able to channel something here in whole cloth which I have only since been able to find in fraction since.
Interregnum represents the unknowable places, the judgment of unknowable forces and the curious nature of endeavor. Have you ever ventured ahead, onward and deeper into the shadow of something impossibly vast? Have you ever walked a narrow ledge over deep water, eyes ahead because your resolve is the only thing that will preserve you from the abyssal depths? If the answer is yes, this painting is about you.
There are things I wish I could have told more stories about in this painting, but I have heard that much about painting is knowing when to stop.
