The Elsewalker is an art project I began in February of 2020. Each painting tells a story, and each painting tells another story when viewed in context. Also, each painting can be followed to the next painting in the series if you follow the most interesting thing in the scene.

Pareil sits opposite the bridge from Eddis, I have heard travelers say. I have not seen it with my own eyes. Beneath the bridge is danger and tranquility.
The markets of Pareil are packed with wares, so densely layered in tiny stalls that it is a wonder any merchant has room for a till. It is difficult to find what you are looking for, but it is easy to spend your money.
Eddis is a quieter place, because it is not real. You can see its spires twinkling in neon from far away, but when you draw nearer there is only plains.
It would have been nice to get more visual interest going on with the bridge itself. All the interesting things in this painting occur above or below it, but by the time I finished the rest I didn't have any ideas left.
